MLSC, established by the Maryland General Assembly, raises funds and makes grants available to nonprofit organizations for civil legal assistance to low-income persons in Maryland. The Maryland-Legal Services Corporation’s Annual Awards program recognizes persons and organizations that have made great contributions to providing legal services and access to justice for the poor. Commissioner Geraldo was honored with the Arthur W. Commissioner Geraldo is an accomplished legal professional and principal in the law firm of Robinson & Geraldo, which he organized in 1979. His areas of practice include business litigation, contract dispute, family law, workers compensation, and real estate litigation. A long-time, committed community activist and volunteer, Mr. Geraldo currently serves as Director and Vice President of the Pro Bono Resource Center, a member of the Maryland Court of Appeals Standing Committee on Pro Bono Service, Director on the Prince George’s County Community Foundation’s Board, a Director for the Portuguese American Leadership Council, Board member of the YMCA, and Board Member of the Prince George’s County Bar Association.
