2010 ECONOMIC OUTLOOK FORUM TO ANNOUNCE
 ENVISION PRINCE GEORGE’S VISION, GOALS, ACTION PLAN 


   Upper Marlboro, MDOn Friday,  June 11, 2010, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), along with the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and Prince George’s County government, will hold a one-day economic outlook forum with the theme, “Embrace the Possibilities.”   Several hundred residents, students, business and community leaders are expected to join together at this forum, which will feature the unveiling and launch of the Vision and Action Agenda to address priority goals set during the Envision Prince George’s  21st Century Town Hall Meeting held in March. The event will take place at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center at the University of Maryland in College Park.

 Envision Prince George’s is a call to action to develop and implement a vision for the County with a vibrant economy and high quality of life for all.  Thousands of County stakeholders have participated in Envision Prince George’s during nearly the past two years, uniting with residents, community and business leaders, and public officials to develop a vision for the advancement of the County.   The final vision, along with goals and priorities for implementation developed by 13 community action teams, will be unveiled at the Economic Outlook Forum.

 The June 11 event will also feature keynote addresses by nationally recognized government and business leaders, including: Alaina Beverly, Associate Director, White House Office of Urban Affairs;  John D. Porcari, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Transportation; and Shyam Kannan, LEED AP, Vice President-Director of Research & Development, RCLCO Real Estate Advisors.
