M-NCPPC Prince George's County Planning Department Goes Green—Implements New Guidelines for Online Publishing of Technical Reports

Effective January 4, 2016, The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (
M-NCPPC) will publish all technical staff reports for Prince George's County Planning Board cases on the Department's website, www.pgplanning.org. Click here to read more.
The Prince George’s County Planning Board directs the work of M-NCPPC through the Prince George’s County Planning Department and the Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation. M-NCPPC’s activities in the County are determined by the Prince George’s County Council, which annually approves the operating budget and work program, with input and comments from the County Executive.

 E. Hewlett receives March 100 Black Men of Prince George's County Award2016 Award
Prince George's County Planning Board Chairman, Elizabeth M. Hewlett recently received the "Wayne K. Curry Visionary Leadership Award" from the 100 Black Men of Prince George's County during the organization's 5th Annual Community Brunch held on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Chairman Hewlett received this distinguished honor for showing extraordinary leadership in business, government and non-profit/civic engagement. In bestowing the award, The 100 Black Men of Prince George's County cited the Chairman's accomplishments and how she's diligently worked to advance Prince George's County's architecture, landscape, community design and business climate. Kudos to Chairman Hewlett!

M-NCPPC Receives Proclamation from Prince George’s County Council for Sixth Gold Medal Win
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and the Department of Parks and Recreation recently received a proclamation from The Prince George’s County Council in honor of their sixth National Gold Medal Award win from the National Recreation and Park Association. The award was received for excellence in Parks and Recreation Management. The Commission is the ONLY agency in the United States to have earned this prestigious award an unprecedented SIX times!
