Planning Board

The Prince George’s County Planning Board directs the work of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) through the Prince George’s County Planning Department and the Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation. M-NCPPC’s activities in the County are determined by the Prince George’s County Council, which annually approves the operating budget and work program, with input and comments from the County Executive.

Vice Chair Dorothy F. Bailey was inducted in the Maryland Women’s Hall of Fame on March 20, 2014. Ms. Bailey along with five other prominent women of Maryland was honored and inducted during a reception and ceremony held in Annapolis, Maryland at the Government House. Read more»

The J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association Honors Chairman Hewlett
Please join the Prince George’s County Planning Board in congratulating Planning Board Chairman Elizabeth M. Hewlett who was recently recognized by the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association with the “Legal Excellence Award” for 2012. Chairman Hewlett was recognized for her outstanding dedication to the organization and its programs, as well as her exemplary contributions to promoting the legal profession within the community - particularly through her mentoring work with young people.
