Stakeholders,

As a result of budgetary limitations, it is necessary to cease work on the Comprehensive Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations.  Therefore, all meetings including the two scheduled in June have been canceled.  Furthermore, we are sincerely grateful for the time and effort you have contributed to this project, and the work completed to date is being saved in anticipation that these issues will be revisited in the future.

The Prince George's County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is proud to announce a major initiative to Comprehensively Amend Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations.

Through a series of research efforts, interviews with stakeholders, written reports and participations, the Planning Department will focus on the following major objectives:

• Evaluating the effectiveness of current regulations and suggesting changes needed to implement the General Plan's policy recommendations for the centers and corridors, Developed Tier, Developing Tier, and the Rural Tier.
  
  
• Analyzing the development review process and recommending streamlining measures to promote efficiency, transparency, and certainty in the decision-making process to ensure high quality development.
  
  
• Examining the form, function, and layout of the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations, recommending revisions, and producing a user-friendly format.
