Central Avenue Corridor Planning Project
The completed Central Avenue-Metro Blue Line Corridor TOD Implementation Project Mobility Study available on-line.
The study hopes to provide the information necessary to ensure that development near the Metro stations capitalizes on their proximity and to create an attractive pedestrian- and transit-oriented place. The study also suggests strategies to ensure adequate public facilities as the area grows.
The Central Avenue Corridor study area includes the two-square-miles along Central Avenue inside the Capital Beltway (I-95) as well as three Metrorail stations along the Blue Line in Capitol Heights, Addison Road, and Morgan Boulevard.
The Greater Central Avenue Study Area is bounded by Sheriff Road, Brightseat Road, Landover Road (MD 202), Capital Beltway (I-95), Ritchie Marlboro Road, Walker Mill Road, Marlboro Pike, and the District line.
