Suitland Metro Station

SuitlandCensus1 A new headquarters building for the U.S. Census Bureau and the Suitland Metro Station anchor the Suitland Federal Center campus that occupies all of the quadrant north of the Silver Hill Road overpass of Suitland Parkway. While the new structures are a welcome addition to the area, the federal campus is self-contained and has little relationship with the surrounding commercial uses fronting on Silver Hill Road and Suitland Road. In fact, GSA-owned land covers most of the land within a half-mile walk of the station on both sides of the parkway.

However, key redevelopment opportunities exist just north of Suitland Road, including the former Suitland Manor site and other parcels to the south along Branch Avenue such as Iverson Mall.
