How to Get Involved
Comprehensive and ongoing public involvement is critical to the successful preparation of community plans. There are a number of ways for stakeholders to become involved in the Central Annapolis Road Sector Plan.

Attend a meeting
Kick-off Meeting and Listening Session

Over 120 stakeholders attended our kick-off meeting and listening session! Residents, property and business owners, and community leaders provided valuable insights into the planning area and discussed aspects of the Central Annapolis Road corridor that should be preserved and those that should be improved or changed. Please see our summary of community comments for more details.
The second step in our planning process was our Weekend of Workshops and Community Briefings. Your participation was instrumental at the following events:
Planning and Design Workshop Kick-Off

Learn about the transportation, urban design, zoning, land use, and economic development aspects of the planning process and participate in a question and answer session with our panel of experts. Help shape the vision for the Central Annapolis Road corridor.

The third step in our planning process was our December Community Meeting.
December Community Meeting

Review and provide feedback on preliminary design concepts and sector plan recommendations as they relate to transporation, urban design, land use, and economic development.
Our public outreach process concluded with our January Community Meeting. Please join us on May 4, 2010, for our first Joint Public Hearing with the Prince George's County District Council and Planning Board on the Preliminary Central Annapolis Road Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment. A draft of the preliminary plan will be made available for public review beginning March 25, 2010.
