TLC Sectional Map Amendment

The intent of the sectional map amendment (SMA) is to provide a strong interrelationship between the sector plan and zoning of land as a tool to implement land use recommendations. Since approval of the SMA initiation on October 26, 2010, Prince George’s County Planning Department staff has begun to examine a number of alternative zoning strategies for the Takoma/Langley Crossroads (TLC) sector plan area. The process will be ongoing throughout the next 6–12 months.

• TLC SMA Resolution of Initiation: On Tuesday, October 26, 2010, the Prince George’s County Council, sitting as the District Council, adopted CR-104-2010, approving initiation of the Takoma/Langley Crossroads Sectional Map Amendment.
• TLC Zoning Change Request:The SMA process begins with a 30-day period, ending November 24, 2010, during which considerations for rezoning may be submitted by interested persons.
