On November 10, 2015, the District Council adopted CR-42-2015 creating the Military Installation Overlay Zone.  The MIOZ provides use restrictions, development regulations and permitting requirements to the area of the County impacted by, and with potential impact on flight operations at Joint Base Andrews.  The MIOZ may only be applied to the affected properties through a map amendment process identified in Part 3, Division 2, Subdivision 8 of the Zoning Ordinance.  The District Council directed the Planning Board to prepare the Proposed Military Installation Overlay Zoning Map Amendment (MIOZMA) on January 19, 2016 through CR-5-2016.  The Planning Board granted permission to release the Technical Staff Report for public inspection on February 18, 2016 (at 1:12;04 on timeline). A Joint Public Hearing is scheduled for April 5, 2016.
