Planning Assistance to Municipalities and Communities Program (PAMC)Planning Board Guidelines
The Prince George's County Planning Board has a program to assist local municipalities and communities by offering planning assistance in response to various annually submitted requests. Resource allocation is in the form of staff services needed to complete a project, or a phase of a multi-year project, within each fiscal year. The County Council sets the total amount of assistance available through its annual budget process.
Current programs under PAMC
Guidelines for those who wish to participate in the program:
1. All requests shall be in writing, and may be submitted by the date specified in the annual program announcement or anytime during the year.
2. The request should indicate:
- What is requested
- Why it is requested
- What benefits might result, and who would be the prime beneficiaries
- Who the local contact will be
- What resources (people and/or money) are available to assist the study and implement the recommendations
3. The applicant should be willing to report on follow-up implementation efforts for up to three years after the recommendations have been transmitted.
4. No jurisdiction can receive more than 20 percent of the yearly appropriation.
