Takoma/Langley Park Streetscape Improvement Plan
In March 1990, Planning Assistance to Municipalities and Communities (PAMC) assisted the neighborhoods of Takoma and Langley Park in developing a streetscape improvement plan focusing on the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and University Boulevard. The plan highlights the overall problems that existed in the study area at the time and suggests solutions for improving the pedestrian environment at the intersection. The Improvement Plan recommends providing attractive landscaping, pavement, and signage as drivers and pedestrians enter the area.
