Plan Prince George's 2035
|

What kind of a community does Prince George’s want to be? How do we map a strategy and what role do key issues such as economic development, transit, and infrastructure play in how we get there?
The General Plan –a document that helps guide future growth, development, and public investments in Prince George’s County–will help us answer these questions by establishing policies and strategies to achieve the county’s long-term vision.
The General Plan reflects the values and priorities of the county’s residents, property and business owners, community leaders, and elected officials and identifies strategies to implement the priorities and goals of our county on important issues such as:
-
How should planning for the county reflect the future needs of a changing demographic and aging population?
-
Where should future development and investment for transit-oriented development (TOD) be focused to foster economic development in the county?
-
How can access to healthy foods for all residents be improved?
-
How will different generational values and needs impact future consumer preferences and market demand for housing and business development? |
Plan Prince George’s 2035, an update of the county’s General Plan, will result from months of planning by experts in the field and the engagement of county stakeholders and residents on these issues.
