Kicking-Off A ‘Safe Summer’ with Xtreme Teens Annual TeenFest

Kicking-Off A ‘Safe Summer’ with M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation 
Xtreme Teens Hosts Annual Teen Fest 

Riverdale, MD – Hosted annually by the M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County’s Xtreme Teens, TeenFest plays an important role as the kick-off event of their signature ‘Safe Summer’ program. Occurring every June, TeenFest is a whirlwind of fun, encompassing many teens’ favorite activities. The celebration includes live entertainment, dancing, carnival-themed games, swimming, and free food. This year, TeenFest is at Allentown Splash, Tennis, and Fitness Park!

WHAT: TeenFest

WHEN: Saturday, June 22, 5 – 8 p.m.

WHERE: Allentown Splash, Tennis, and Fitness Park, 7210 Allentown Road, Fort Washington, MD 20743

COST: FREE, with registration

Safe Summer is Xtreme Teens’ late night (10pm-midnight) summer recreation program that offers extended community center hours for teens and young adults who are Prince George’s County residents, ages 12-24 years old. This program runs from June to August at multiple locations and community centers throughout the county. Safe Summer offers recreation, safe spaces, and positive youth development for participants. Xtreme Teens has lots of exciting activities and events for young people, ages 10-17, year-round. The programs push the boundaries of traditional recreation and strives to reduce idleness among youth to prepare them for the future.
