QDCs Explained

Prince George’s County is studying the potential risks and community benefits of Qualified Data Centers (QDCs). The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department hosted three community meetings in July for residents and stakeholders, where we explored:

Impacts on the quality of life in areas surrounding data centers

The existing and future local energy demands of data centers

The potential impacts on ratepayers and taxpayers in meeting future energy demands

The environmental impact of data centers on air quality, water supply, and noise quality in the County

Impacts on the quality of life in areas surrounding data centers
