M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Board and Department Announce August 2026 Events and Meetings
LARGO, Md. – The Prince George’s County Planning Board and the Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) announce their upcoming public events and meetings. For more details, review the list of events and meetings below or visit www.pgplanningboard.org and www.pgplanning.org. Events and meetings are subject to change.
The following meetings will resume in September after the August recess: Prince George’s County Planning Board weekly meetings and the Prince George’s County Historic Preservation Commission and M-NCPPC Full Commission monthly meetings.
Subdivision and Development Review Committee Meeting

Subdivision and Development Review Committee (SDRC) is a coordination and interagency meeting early in the development review process with the applicant and M-NCPPC staff, where the public can be invited to virtually view the meeting only. The meetings are held virtually and may be viewed via live streaming video. The agendas are posted online.
Riverdale Park Legacy Mixed-Use Town Center Design Review Committee

Hollywood Placemaking Community Vision Walk

The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department will host an in-person community vision walk in North College Park to discuss space needs, opportunities, and challenges in the area. Input from participants will guide the development of placemaking projects celebrating cultural identity and heritage – as recommended in the approved Central U.S. 1 Neighborhood Compatibility Study. The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department will join the Largo Town Center Association and community partners at the Love My Largo Farmers Market on Saturday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday, August 13, from 4 – 8 p.m. The community-powered marketplace brings farmers with local fresh produce, artisans, and neighbors together to build a healthier, more connected community on the blue line corridor and surrounding areas. The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department will join SuitlandFest Community Development Corporation and the Suitland Recreation Council for the 27th Annual SuitlandFest: Sankofa Rising. The family-friendly event will include multicultural programming, local vendors, and live entertainment. The Planning Department’s Placemaking Team will share details from the newly released Suitland Cultural Arts Implementation Strategy. Seat Pleasant Back to School Event

The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department will join the City of Seat Pleasant for its Back-to-School community event to celebrate the E3 (Education Everywhere Every Day) Learning Lab and Little Library Initiative.
