Help us Envision What’s Next
Join us Saturday, September 5, 2026, for a Community Vision Walk
What if Rhode Island Avenue felt safer, more welcoming, and more connected to the community?
The Prince George’s County Planning Department, in partnership with the District 1 County Council Office, is launching the Beltsville Placemaking Pilot Project, an exciting initiative that will bring recommendations from the Route 1 Land Redevelopment Study to life.
This project is about creating a stronger sense of place in Beltsville through community-driven design and short-term improvements with a lasting impact. Your feedback can help influence:
- Safer, calmer traffic along Rhode Island Avenue
- More attractive and welcoming public spaces
- Enhancements to walking, biking, and community gathering spaces
- Future investments in Beltsville
