Greater Cheverly Sector Plan

Project Description 

The sector plan area covers the Town of Cheverly and the unincorporated communities of Englewood, Landover Knolls, Newton Village, Oaklyn, and Radiant Valley. The focus is on the commercial properties along MD 202 (Landover Road), the Tuxedo Road/Arbor Street area and the industrial areas near the US 50/Baltimore Washington Parkway/Kenilworth Avenue interchange. Additionally, it focuses on the Cheverly Metro Station and the Prince George’s Hospital Center property.

The sector plan has developed strategies that prioritizes improving transportation systems including pedestrian/cyclist safety and system connectivity, identifying opportunities for infill and redevelopment in the Arbor Street/Tuxedo Road area and the Prince George’s Hospital site, improving environmental conditions, and preserving residential neighborhoods,
