Central Avenue-Blue/Silver Line Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – The Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission will host a virtual public kickoff for the Central Avenue-Blue/Silver Line Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment (SMA) on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. The interactive meeting will provide an opportunity for attendees to offer input that will be used to develop the plan’s strategies and priorities. Residents and community stakeholders will learn about the sector plan’s benefits, current conditions, and the next steps in the planning process that will help shape the future of the Central Avenue-Blue/Silver Line Sector. The kickoff meeting is part of a multi-year process of community engagement and public meetings to develop a guiding document that will address future development in and around Capitol Heights, Addison Road-Seat Pleasant, and Morgan Boulevard Metro Stations – which are designated as Local Transit Centers in Plan Prince George’s 2035 (Plan 2035)
