Qualified Data Centers

Residents and Stakeholders are Invited to Learn About Qualified Data Center Uses in Prince George’s County During July Community Meetings

Prince George’s County is studying the potential risks and community benefits of Qualified Data Centers. The M-NCPPC Prince George’s County Planning Department will host three community meetings for residents and stakeholders, where we’ll explore:

  • The existing and future local energy demands of data centers
  • The potential impacts on ratepayers and taxpayers in meeting future energy demands
  • The environmental impact of data centers on air quality, water supply, and noise quality in the County
  • Impacts on the quality of life in areas surrounding data centers
